I’m a national award winning humorist (National Society of Newspaper Columnists) whose humor, essays, song parodies, and limericks have been published in numerous newspapers, print magazines, and websites and in many anthologies (including Life’s A Stitch: The Best of Contemporary Women’s Humor; Funny Times: The Best of the Best American Humor; I Killed June Cleaver; Minutes of the Lead Pencil Club; The Contemporary Reader, Jest Patriotic, and Cash In On Laughter.)
My Raising Kane columns and other humor about marriage and family, work, money, travel, technology, cars, and politics have appeared in numerous publications including Family Circle Magazine, First For Women, America Online, The Chicago Tribune, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Miami Herald, The Houston Chronicle, Newsday and the New York Times.
My website MadKane.com has gotten lots of awards including USAToday Hot Site of the Day and Fun Site of the Week, an About.com Political Dot-Comedy Award For Best Parody, Maxim Magazine’s Hot99, and Shift Magazine’s 100 Sites We Love.
I'm also a recovering lawyer and a musician. I live in New York City with my humor-inspiring husband Mark, who puts up with my writing song parodies during dinner, even though the poor guy thought he was marrying a nice Jewish lawyer.
