From Chicago, IL I've had some great influences in my life - mostly my mother and my great-grandparents. These blogs are a way for me to tell their stories and my memories of them. My mother is and was an amazing woman who was struck down by Alzheimer's Disease in 2000 at the age of 58. I can never thank her enough for everything she's given and for what I have today. Ever since I was a small child, I remember my great-grandparents Ralph Austin and Therese McGinnes Austin and remember what they taught me. My blogs are not only tributes to the values these people instilled in me, but a search for more information about my family history and ultimately, who I really am.
