The objective of careful, limited, fiscally responsible federal government can be accomplished at the ballot box. Not by voting exclusively Republican, Democrat or 3rd party, but by voting consistently for divided government.
Divided Government is Better Government.
One more thing: If the words "divided government" or "gridlock" are not in your post, you probably do not want to submit it to this carnival.
Edition Description:
For this carnival we select volunteers and draftees from the blogosphere and main stream media writing on the single topic of government divided between the major parties.
Consistent with this topic, the primary criteria for acceptance in the carnival is to explicitly use the words and/or concept of "divided government" in submitted posts. A criteria that, to our endless befuddlement, is ignored by many of the bloggers submitting posts, which sadly results in The Dividist reluctantly ignoring their fine submissions.
Among the on-topic posts, essays and articles we choose our top ten favorites for commentary and consideration. The next edition will be the 51st Carnival of Divided Government ûnus et Quînquâgintâ (LI) - Special President's Day Edition - sometime on or about February 20.
