carnival of correct but unpopular ideas

'What is' matters more than 'what ought to be.'

Description ¤ This carnival is created for the purpose of expressing ideas that are correct, but very unpopular. Example: Mother Teresa wasn't the saint that the public would have you believe her to be. By her own admission she believed that suffering brought people closer to god. Her homes for the dying in Calcutta were just that. As such, she used most of the money donated to her to build a chain of nunneries around the world. Yet, the perception of her that persists is that she is a modern day saint figure.
